As much as I want to drive around New Orleans when I am there for my birthday this weekend, I would take a driven Bentley or Roller, get drunk, and pass the Grey Poupon. What're your plans for NOLA? I can give suggestions. Qualifications: went to LSU for 4 years, regularly went to NOLA, have tons of friends there, haven't missed a Mardi Gras in 5 years.

I have some suggestions in mind. Love dive bars, Def going to Snake and Jakes, hitting up some crazy Zydeco bar uptown (i forget the name, I have to ask again), trying to recreate the acid scene from Easy Rider in St. Louis cemetery, sans acid of course. Just going to explore and see some out of the way stuff. Been down there before for Mardi Gras, so I have seen alot of that part of town. Shoot out some stuff. My girl wants oysters!

O good so you don't need too much help. For oyseters I would do Drago's in the Hilton at the end of Canal. I also like eating at the Court of Two Sisters and Domenica. I assume you have gone to Pat O's before, but if you haven't go there for a Hurricane. What weekend are you going?

Unfortunately Delta isn't auto-xing until next weekend or else I would tell you to go check it out. But what might be fun for you is to go to NOLA Motorsports and do some cart races. They are very fast karts and the track is awesome. Also, you can check out their awesome facility while you're out there, and they might have some lapping going on. Its about 30 minutes from the quarter, if that.

google says 65 miles direct from the airport metro detroit airport which I assume you're flying into. Which your coming in from Maine right? Lines you up perfectly to cut through Canada on the way home.

If you fly into Metro Detroit, the airport is only about 5 minutes from my house lol.
